Os parlamentares avaliam que essas investigações contínuas estão minando a figura de Bolsonaro mais do que uma possível prisão. Eles argumentam que um “sangramento” lento e constante do capital político de Bolsonaro é mais prejudicial do que uma prisão, que poderia ser usada para mobilizar sua base com uma narrativa de perseguição política.
Desde que foi alvo de buscas no início do ano, Bolsonaro tem tentado usar essa narrativa de perseguição, apesar das evidências apresentadas pela Polícia Federal que sugerem seu envolvimento em atividades ilegais.
Inicialmente, a liderança do PL acreditava que Bolsonaro não seria preso. No entanto, a percepção agora é que ele provavelmente será condenado e detido pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), possivelmente no próximo ano.
