O ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL) e o senador Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), são sócios em uma empresa de exploração de grafeno. A companhia tem capital social de R$ 100 mil e sede em Brasília (DF). Além de Jair e Flávio, aparecem como sócios na empreitada o assessor parlamentar de Flávio no Senado Fernando Nascimento Pessoa, o ex-candidato a deputado distrital pelo Podemos Pedro Leite e o empresário gaúcho e entusiasta das armas Maichel Chiste.
O ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro sempre foi um entusiasta da exploração de grafeno no Brasil. Em discurso na Câmara no longínquo em 2017, por exemplo, o então parlamentar federal já falava dos benefícios das baterias feitas com grafeno: “A produção de uma bateria de grafeno, que terá não só dimensões menores do que as que temos atualmente, das convencionais, como também poderá ser recarregada em poucos segundos”.
No Vale do Jequitinhonha, em Pedra Azul, estão localizadas as maiores reservas de Grafite do Brasil. O grafeno é produzido a partir da grafite. O material, leve e flexível, é altamente resistente e mais forte do que o aço. A expectativa é que o material seja cada vez mais usado, por exemplo, nas indústrias automotiva, aeronáutica e bélica.
Pela constituição acionária, Flávio é o sócio majoritário, respondendo por 30% das ações; Jair e Maichel detêm 20% das ações cada e Fernando e Pedro Leite detêm, cada um, 15%. Apesar de Pedro ser o sócio minoritário do empreendimento, é ele quem vai administrar o negócio, segundo o contrato social.
Ainda não se sabe muitos detalhes sobre a nova empreitada do ex-presidente e seu filho. A Bravo Grafeno está registrada como tendo o comércio a varejo de peças e acessórios novos para motocicletas e motonetas como sua atividade principal. E como atividades secundárias: comércio varejista de produtos não especificados; fabricação de equipamentos e acessórios para segurança pessoal e profissional; fabricação de produtos de metal não especificados; pesquisa e desenvolvimento experimental em ciências físicas e naturais.
A empresa tem uma parceria encaminhada com a UCS Graphene, companhia ligada à Universidade de Caxias do Sul, no Rio Grande do Sul. A UCS Graphene se apresenta como sendo “a 1ª e maior planta de produção de grafeno em escala industrial da América Latina instalada por uma universidade”. Está em operação desde março de 2020, reúne “a especialização da Universidade de Caxias do Sul conquistada em 15 anos de pesquisa avançada em nanomateriais, gerando grafeno de alta qualidade para a prestação de serviços tecnológicos inovadores a setor.
