Segundo a Polícia Rodoviária Federa (PRF), o confronto aconteceu no trecho da rodovia, sentido Belo Horizonte, por volta das 5h da manhã, quando torcedores da Mancha Verde invadiram as pistas da rodovia e interceptaram o coletivo da torcida do Cruzeiro, que vinha de Curitiba.
A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) informou que o confronto teria envolvimento de mais de 100 membros das duas organizadas.
