Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos encerraram 2023 com prejuízo de R$ 597 milhões. O relatório publicado no DOU (Diário Oficial da União), mostraram que as contas da estatal melhoraram em relação a 2022, quando o prejuízo foi de R$ 768 milhões. Segundo o balanço, a receita dos Correios em 2023 é de US$ 21,6 bilhões, queda de 1,83% em relação a 2022.
O relatório refere ainda que as receitas do segmento internacional aumentaram 23,2%, ajudando a equilibrar o correio e compensando a queda de quase 5% nas receitas de encomendas e mensagens.
Entre os fatores que contribuem para esse resultado positivo no segmento internacional estão o crescimento do e-commerce do Brasil e a melhoria dos serviços de entrega.
Além disso, a estatal reduziu custos de R$ 22,8 bilhões em 2022 para R$ 22,2 bilhões em 2023, representando uma redução de 2,52%.
No total, a empresa investiu R$ 755,4 milhões em 2023, queda de 0,4% em relação a 2022. A renovação da frota foi um dos destaques desse investimento, com a aquisição de mais de três mil carros, mil bicicletas.
“Este programa visa melhorar significativamente as condições de trabalho dos funcionários dos correios, reduzir as emissões de gases com efeito de estufa, aumentar a produtividade e poupar custos operacionais”, afirma o relatório.
Além disso, também propôs aumentar os salários e restaurar os benefícios que foram cortados aos funcionários. Segundo este documento, o número de trabalhadores chega a 85.882 pessoas, uma descida de cerca de 2% face a 2022.
